Content Warning and Description by Bruno George:

Content Warning: Transphobia, terminal illness, ambiguous mention of the KKK

SOUTHERN COMFORT(2001) documents the final months in the life of Robert Eads, a transgender man who lived in northeast Georgia and died there of ovarian cancer. His illness was undertreated due to the transphobia in the health care system. The film shows Eads and the care network of his children, parents, chosen trans family, and it documents a final trip to the Southern Comfort trans conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Available on Tubi.
