About Us
Under the Rainbow is an LGBTQIA+ arts community based in Edmonds, Washington. Our mission is to create spaces for LGBTQIA+ folks to share stories, be creative, and connect.
We run four event series throughout the year including a writer’s group, an all-ages game night, a movie club, and a storytelling series where you can come listen to featured guest tellers or practice sharing stories of your own.
You can read more about each of our events below. You can jump to a specific event by using the buttons below. If you have questions, have an idea for an event, or would like help getting connected to resources for LGBTQIA+ creatives, please feel free to contact us!

Our focus is on gaining responses to our work through constructive criticism, and creating a supportive community space to practice and experiment in. Writing Rainbow meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. You can drop in at any time or leave early!

Queer Movie Night
Queer Movie Night is a book club for queer film! We meet on the 4th Monday of every month. We watch the month’s movie on our own, then meet up for a group discussion. If you aren’t able to view the film before the meeting, we’d still love to see you and hear your thoughts on the topics the film raises. If you need help accessing a movie, have a question, or would like to be added to our QMN mailing list, contact us and we can help!

Gayme Night
Gayme Night is an all-ages, family-friendly event where LGBTQIA+ people, friends, and family meet to play games ranging from board games to Dungeons & Dragons one-shot adventures. We typically meet at Around the Table in Lynnwood where you can borrow games from their extensive collection while enjoying drinks and snacks. Around the Table also has accessible, all-gender restrooms.
Gayme Night is currently on hiatus – we hope to be able to meet in person again soon!
Under the Rainbow is supported by the Edmonds Library, Edmonds Arts Commission, Seattle Storytellers Guild, Edmonds Neighborhood Action Coalition, and a grant from the Pride Foundation
